英国作为现代足球的发源地，其本身包含的足球文化价值符号的意义远不止字面上体现的那么简单，来到英国之后才能切身体会到这个足球王国对于足球这项运动近乎狂热的喜爱。可以说，几乎每一个英国人，大到年近古稀，小到牙牙学语，他们的生命里永远都有一个无法回避的问题——喜欢足球，需要理由吗？

相比较于我们中式家庭周末各式各样的娱乐活动，英国人的周末简单到可以用三个词来概括，即是足球、薯条和啤酒。所以大多数英国人民从出生伊始就浸渍在满是足球元素的氛围中，打开广播，在说足球；打开电视，在看足球；打开网络，在谈足球。然而作为一个母语非英语的中国人，想要在短时间内融入其中，或者说从中领教一二，这并不是一件容易的事情，语言习惯上的差别导致我们在足球这个领域的用词用句也略有不同。笔者在听英文比赛解说时经常会出现一副黑人问号脸，刚刚他说了什么？？？为此笔者在观看了本轮曼联对斯托克城的比赛之后特意翻看了本场比赛的解说文字记录，在仔细斟酌每个生词的含义之后发现上手其实挺快的。然而，一口吃不成个胖子，如果大家也像笔者一般，同样对英式解说，英式足球用语感兴趣的话，那么接下来笔者翻译的这篇解说词想必能给大家提供一些实际的帮助。
